This week our students did their first fitness week of the year. Students were put into groups and then assigned a station in which they would do an exercise for a short period of time and then switched on my whistle. The six stations included; push-ups, jump ropes, wall jumps, hula hoops, sit-ups, and a rest station. Accommodations were made for students that couldn’t do certain exercises. Below our pictures of one of the first grade class (Ms. Grengs) participating during their class period.
Meet Your Teacher
My name is Mr. Buczek and this will be my first year teaching at St. Mary’s. A little background about me: I graduated Riverside-Brookfield High School and went to Concordia University Chicago where I received my Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. While working for the Riverside Parks and Recreation and teaching classes I knew this is what I wanted as my career. I went to North Park University and received my license in K-12 Physical Education. I have grown up playing sports my entire life and still maintain a healthy active lifestyle. The Riverside community has already welcomed me with open arms and I am looking forward to meeting all of you and eager to start working during the school year. Information about class rules and grading policies will be distributed on students’ first day of physical education class. Any questions please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
