Welcome to Reading Class
Hello, I am Ms. Susan Lachowicz from St. Mary School in Riverside, IL. I have been a teacher there since 2001. I have earned a Bachelor degree in English from St. Xavier University and a Master degree as a Reading Specialist in 2006 from Dominican University. I am a certified Catholic Catechesis. I have learned the most about teaching children from raising my own three children into successful adults. I am member of the International Reading Association and the Illinois Reading Council. I attend many professional growth classes to further enhance my knowledge and skills in reading and education theories and applications. I have traveled to and studied in Africa, Israel, China, and Europe augmenting my awareness and understanding of the diversity among various religions, customs, and traditions.
