Gummy Bear Experiment
Our class conducted a gummy bear experiment. We took gummy bears and let them rest in water for 24 hours. We asked questions, formed a hypothesis, observed the gummy bears, and drew conclusions based on our observations. We found that the red, green, and yellow gummy bears changed the color of the water. The gummy bears also became slimy, large, and squishy. It was a very fun experiment!
Book of the Week
Play Doh Spelling
We have been using Play Doh to make our spelling words. This activity builds our fine motor skills, and it is a lot of fun!
Words of the Week
Unit 1, Week 4 Spelling Words
Last Friday, our class took a pretest to determine our spelling words for this week. We will be working on adding -s to short vowel words this week. Your child will come home on Monday with their identified list. They will either study words from the green list OR the yellow list. Please leave this list in your child’s Home folder on the “Right Back to School” side every day so you will have the words all week. Our test will be on Thursday, September 21.
