We began our “Building for the Future” Capital Campaign two years ago. A total of 382 households have supported the campaign as of June 30, 2017. I have been deeply moved by those of you who have revisited your original investment and have made additional gifts. With that kind of generosity present, I know that we will reach our goal of $2,930,000. It may take us the full five years, but we will make it!
It was my hope that we would begin the construction of the Parish offices this summer. Obviously, that has not happened. We do not have enough pledges secured yet in order to be able to submit the necessary paperwork to the Archdiocese. Currently, we are just under $1.8 million in total pledges and gifts.
This past week we sent out two checks to cover the sharing element of our Campaign as required by the Archdiocese – $50,000 to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church – South Shore for their roof project and $42,393.60 to the “Teach Who Christ Is” Catholic Education Scholarship Trust. These were the second installments of our five-year commitment totaling $463,000. Here’s some great news – the total amount that we owe the Archdiocese has been collected, which means that all future pledges and gifts stay 100% in the parish and are directly applied to our projects! If you have not yet made your pledge, now is the time to act!
