WE ARE ST. MARY PARISH. WE ARE UNITED IN FAITH—CONNECTED BY OUR PAST AND THE PROMISE OF THE FUTURE.
With the Grace of God, St. Mary Parish spreads the good news of Jesus, brings relief and comfort to those in need, educates children and adults in their Catholic faith, and celebrates Mass in communion with one another. To ensure that the mission and ministries of St. Mary can continue to flourish, several years ago the Pastoral Council commissioned a long-range plan for our community.
Through the Parish Transformation process, working committees reviewed facilities and completed a parish-wide needs analysis. St. Mary families offered their thoughts on parish needs and how best to fulfill these. A Campus Master Plan was developed with the goal of providing improved space for priests, parish ministries, religious education and other community functions. Early this year, St. Mary members and families again offered their voices to clarify which elements of the Master Plan represent the community’s most pressing needs.
The priorities identified will help to both address Parish needs of today and best position our mission and ministries for the future. Following a unanimous vote by the Pastoral Council, the Building for the Future Campaign was officially launched in the late Spring of 2015. The Campaign is focused on advancing the goals of St. Mary Parish in three key areas:
- Building for Leadership
- Building for Community
- Building for Others
As the people of St. Mary have done for more than 140 years, we are again called to look toward our future. “We, the people of St. Mary Parish because of our baptismal promises and compelled by our Catholic identity, seek to be an example of God’s presence by worship, education, and service to our neighbors with sensitivity to those most in need of God’s love.” Mindful of the strong commitment and generosity of those who have given us the gift of this vibrant faith community, we look to offer the same to those who come after us so that we may continue to celebrate the gifts God has shared with each one of us.
