This Monday morning we will begin our Graduation Ceremonies here at St. Mary Parish as 33 of our Kindergarteners graduate in a special ceremony at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Center. On Tuesday 41 young men and women of the Class of 2018 are graduating from St. Mary School. Congratulations to all of our graduates and their families. We are most proud of you!
The school year will then end on Wednesday. The end of the School year will be celebrated appropriately with the Eucharist, the center of our lives as Christians and as students, faculty and staff of St. Mary School. The Eucharist is where we have been and will be continuously nourished by the Word of God and by the Sacrament of Jesus’ Body and Blood.
As the 2017-2018 school year comes to a close, I would like to thank our Principal, Barbara Rasinski, Assistant Principal, Mary Kennedy, their office staff, Judi Vrablik and Cathy Carone, and all of our fine faculty. This year we are saying goodbye to two veteran teachers, Mary Lou Taylor and Rose Marie Pedryc, who are both retiring. Their presence will certainly be missed by all.
The faculty and staff have done a great job this year moving our school academically forward and continuing to advance the ministry of Catholic education here at St. Mary Parish. I hope the summer is a restful time for the faculty, staff, students and their families. We look forward to an even more exciting 2018-2019 school year as we plan for a year with even stronger enrollment numbers and an academic program which will continue to provide some of the finest Catholic Grade School Education in the Archdiocese.
I remember the priest at my Grade School say on the last day of School before Summer vacation….this was not to be a vacation from God. I’ll see you in Church!
