This Tuesday, March 13th at 7:00 p.m. is your last chance to attend one of our Lenten Speaker Series evenings. Shelby Boblick will be our featured speaker.
After nearly 30 years of practicing corporate real estate law, Shelby Boblick heard a different call. She earned a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University of Chicago and a certificate in Ecclesial Lay Ministry from the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein. Shelby was certified as a pastoral associate in the Archdiocese of Chicago and serves at her home parish of 40 years: St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy Parish on Austin Blvd. in Oak Park. Shelby drew upon her own life experiences -having an active faith life, attending a women’s college as an undergraduate, being married and raising 3 children while engaged in a full-time law practice, and leading an executive women’s network – in selecting women as her ministry focus. Shelby is now the grandmother of 8 (under the age of 9)! Her women’s faith discussion groups and off-site retreats have been well received.
It is a privilege to welcome Shelby Boblick to St. Mary Parish to share her varied life experience and her deep faith.
Please join us this Monday, March 12th at 7:00 p.m. for our Lenten Reconciliation Service. Fr. Michael Caruso SJ, the President of St. Ignatius High School, will be our speaker. Afford yourself this opportunity to enter the real presence and fullness of God’s mercy in the sacrament of reconciliation. Through this sacrament we can open up to God in a new way so he can bring about a transformation in our lives.
