For the past four weeks, the Parish Center has been a hive of activity – March 25 was the 26th annual school fundraiser, April 1 was the Girl Scout Powder Puff Derby, April 8 was the Knights of Columbus Pasta Dinner and last week were overflow Easter masses, not to mention the regular activity of school and sports use. Well over 1,500 people have probably stepped foot in the parish center in the past month.
Now think of this – twenty years ago that building was not yet completed. All of those aforementioned activities would have either been held in the Oak Room, off campus, or perhaps not even held at all. For many of you, the parish center has always existed. You literally cannot imagine the parish without that building.
Many, many parishioners paid it forward twenty years ago so that future parishioners would have the awesome benefit of that wonderful mixed use space! Now is our time to pay it forward. If you haven’t yet done so, please consider making a pledge or gift to the Building for the Future Campaign. Let’s get the office space moved and give the priests back their home! Please contact Jane Birmingham at 708-447-1020 for more information regarding the Building for the Future Campaign.
